Local Community

Check These Out

The Rochester Bored Humans Association is about connecting residents through real-time discussions and with planned - and unplanned! - meetups. There are many things we aren't going to be great at, and that's why we want to share the following local communities and resources with you to explore.

Sources of Fun

If you're looking for more activities to do, these communities have you covered. While RBHA members may create meetups for some of the same events, we won't have members creating meetups for every event so it's best to follow these groups so that you don't miss out on activities that interest you.

We encourage you to create a meetup on the server if you find activities that interest you so you can attend it with new friends! Even if you don't want to go with members of the Discord, posting details in our Events channel will help spread the word as well.

The Rochester Posse

The Rochester Posse is the areas most prominent Facebook Page for the local scene. They share and promote events not only within Rochester but also in Winona, Winsconsin, and the Twin City Metro Area.

If you're looking to get engaged with the community more, The Rochester Posse also has you covered by sharing and promoting local community litter clearing, various events within the city, and local news from the Post Bulletin and more.

Additionally, they are a great resource to follow if you wish to support the local artists. The page shares updates and store links directly from the artists' Facebook page.

Rochester Local

Rochester Local launched on October 7, 2015, as Rochester MN Moms Blog.  In early 2020, they rebranded to Rochester Mom.  Recognizing that their website had become a resource for more than just moms and parents in the area, in October 2022 their name changed to Rochester Local and is written by writers who live in the greater Rochester Area. From locally-focused resources and guides to parenting, parks, camps, schools, product reviews, local activities, events round-ups, and more, their online community wants to be your go-to resource for all things parenting in the area. The Rochester Local community begins online, but doesn’t stop there as they also host events throughout the year.
